Analytics and portal operation
The portal uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to monitor usage and technical performance. Custom portal events are limited to predefined function-usage data and do not include GPS coordinates in event data.
Near me function
If you use the function for finding nearby stories, your browser first asks for permission to access your location. The location is used to calculate nearby points on the map; the portal does not add GPS coordinates to its own analytics events.
Visited locations
Your selection of visited locations may be stored locally in your browser so the portal can retain your progress on your next visit. You can remove this data by clearing website data in your browser settings.
